Privacy Policy
Effective: 22 July 2026
stōshos is owned and produced by ATWASI LLC ("ATWASI," "we," "us"). This policy covers stoshos.com and the stōshos residency only. ATWASI maintains a separate privacy policy for atwasi.com and its other operations. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit stoshos.com, register for a stōshos program, buy something from us, or attend the residency in Miami, and what we do with it
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
Name, email address, phone number, and postal address when you register for a program, join our mailing list, or contact us.
Dietary requirements, allergies, and accessibility needs when you book a seated dinner or a program that asks for them.
Company, role, and industry when you register for partner or trade programming.
Messages and correspondence you send us.
Information collected when you transact
We do not receive or store full payment card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe and, for in-person purchases at the boutique, by Square. We receive confirmation of the transaction, the amount, the last four digits of the card, and the billing name and address. Stripe and Square handle the card data under their own privacy policies.
Information collected automatically
IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent, collected through our website analytics.
Cookies and similar technologies. See section 7
Information collected at the residency
The residency is a public space. We photograph and film inside it, including guests, and we use those images in marketing, press, partner materials, and social media. Notice is posted at the entrance. If you do not want to appear in that material, tell a member of staff on site or email hello@stoshos.com and we will do what we reasonably can, including removing an identifiable image on request.
2. How we use your information
To register you for programs, confirm attendance, manage capacity, and admit you on the day.
To fulfil orders and process payments.
To accommodate dietary requirements and accessibility needs.
To send you program announcements, invitations, and updates, where you have asked to receive them.
To answer your questions and provide support.
To understand how the site and the programming are used, and to plan future editions.
To share with the partners who support the program you registered for. See section 4.
To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do use advertising and analytics technologies that may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, and we share registration details with program partners. Section 4 explains both, and section 8 explains how to opt out.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following:
Consent, for marketing email, for advertising cookies, for sharing your details with program partners, and for dietary and health-related information. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Contract, to register you for a program, admit you, and fulfil an order.
Legal obligation, for tax, accounting, and regulatory records.
Legitimate interests, to run and improve the residency, to secure the site, and to document the program in photography and film. We balance those interests against your rights.
4. Who we share it with
Service providers. We use third parties to run stōshos. Each processes personal information on our instructions or under its own policy:
Luma. Registration, ticketing, guest lists, capacity, and pre-attendance questions.
Stripe. Payment processing.
Square. In-person payment processing at the boutique.
Mailchimp. Email list management and sending.
Squarespace. Website hosting and site analytics.
Program partners. stoshos is produced with partners who support individual programs and the edition as a whole. We share registration and attendance details with the partners associated with the program you registered for. This includes your name, email address, and which program you attended. It does not include your payment details or your dietary and accessibility information.
This sharing is disclosed on the registration page at the point of sign-up. Partners receive your details under contract and may contact you directly. If you do not want your details shared, do not register through that page, or email hello@stoshos.com before the program takes place and we will remove you from the file we send. You can also ask us to stop sharing at any time under section 8.
Legal and regulatory authorities, where we are required to disclose information or need to establish or defend a legal claim.
In a business transfer, if ATWASI is party to a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. International transfers
ATWASI LLC is a Nevada limited liability company. Personal information collected for stōshos is stored and processed in the United States by the providers listed in section 4.
Members of our team work from Jamaica and access personal information from there, including registration and guest list information. Our partners and service providers may also process information outside the United States.
Where personal information is transferred out of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism, and we take steps to see that it remains protected to the standard described in this policy.
6. How long we keep it
Registration and attendance records: 24 months after the edition ends. After that we delete the record, or keep your email address alone if you have subscribed to our mailing list.
Dietary, allergy, and accessibility information: deleted within 30 days of the program you attended.
Transaction records: seven years, for tax and accounting.
Mailing list: until you unsubscribe, and for a short period afterwards to honor the unsubscribe.
Photography and film: indefinitely, as part of the archive of the edition.
7. Cookies
We use three kinds:
Necessary cookies, which make the site work.
Analytics cookies, which tell us how the site is used.
Advertising technologies, including the Meta pixel. These let us measure how our advertising performs and show stōshos advertising to you on Facebook and Instagram. They send information about your visit to Meta, which may combine it with information Meta already holds about you.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and you can control ad personalization in your Facebook and Instagram settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working. If you are in the UK or the EEA, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Delete your personal information.
Restrict or object to how we process it.
Receive your information in a portable format.
Withdraw consent, including by unsubscribing from any marketing email.
Opt out of having your information shared with program partners or used for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Appeal a decision we make about one of these requests.
If you are a California resident, you also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of sharing, email hello@stoshos.com with "Do Not Share My Information" in the subject line.
To make a request, email hello@stoshos.com. We will verify your identity before acting on it and will respond within the period the applicable law requires.
9. Children
stoshos is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Some programming is open to families and children may attend the residency with an adult. If you believe we hold information about a child, email hello@stoshos.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes
We update this policy from time to time. The current version is posted here and takes effect on the date at the top of the page.
